Environ, 1998
Environ is an interactive CD Rom that explores human emotional relationships to sound and image in our environment. The user can choose from ten different animated icons that sit at the bottom center and top left of the screen to control the playing of sound and video. Animated icons at the bottom and top of the screen may be combined with the orange rings at the left of the screen to produce different sound image combinations. Once a sound and image is produced on screen, both may be affected with the icons at the top to alter volume and size. Environ offers the user an explorative experience in sight and sound, and an investigation into his or her own emotional reactions to aural and visual environments as conveyed by digital media.
